What's new at Portland Color

Portland Color has added three Lucidiom APM 2000 digital kiosks at its Mall Plaza location inside of Hunts Photo. A circular counter has been custom designed to accommodate customers in comfort as they prepare their files for printing, and a children´s play area and easy chairs are now adjacent to the kiosk work area.

Portland Color chose the Lucidiom APM 2000 machines because of their reputation for the highest ease-of-use and best overall quality. The APM 2000 was introduced at PMA 2006, and supports a full range of digital media types: xDT Picture Card, CompactFlash®/MicroDrive, Memory Stick® Pro and Duo, SD/MMCT/MiniSD/RS-MMC, and SmartMediaT. It has a built-in, 5-1/4" combo CD/DVD drive that allows consumers to make photo CDs and DVDs, and features 1 GB of RAM to store and process photos faster.

The Lucidiom kiosk speaks directly to the FUJI PicPro interface of the Fuji Frontier. Portland Color uses the more expensive professional grade paper in its Frontier, which means better shadow detail and a sharper overall print. Of course, Deb Dolan, Brianne Seekins, and Jessica Materna, the Portland Color team, will always be available to answer questions or help out on our new equipment.

The Kiosks allow you to print your own photos from 4x6 up to10x15, Text and colored borders can be added to any photo. Greeting card templates are also available, which allow you to print 4x8 cards (envelopes are included.)

Of course, if you are shooting film, remember that Portland Color is running a dip and dunk C-41 processor, and a Sigma scanner to give you the best traditional processing as well.

We can accept digital files from any digital camera, CompactFlash, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, SmartMedia, MultiMedia Card (MMC), and xD Picture Card, CD, Zip, floppy, or DVD.
